.: Black Rainbow:. was born in a spur of a moment: just a way like any other to keep people up to date on live events in London/UK and not only. Info on tours, gigs, clubs and various cultural events all focused around the underground artistic scene.

.:Black Rainbow:. is an international collaboration of arts enthusiasts from Italy to France and UK with recent addition of Holland, Germany and Spain. The list hopefully will get longer with help from Greece, Switzerland, Austria, Norther and Eastern Europe.
We do offer our services as dj's in and out of the UK (yes we like to travel!!); just get in touch if you want us to spin some good tunes. Genres covered can vary from Industrial/ Post industrial, Punk/Post Punk/Anarcho Punk, Minimal Wave/Flexipop, TradGoth, Coldwave/NewWave and Experimetal/Dark Ritual.

You never Knew Me

Journal Entry: Thu Jul 16, 2009, 1:40 AM
I don't want to turn around
and find I'd got it wrong
or that I should have been laughing all along
you're what keeps me alive
you're what's destroying me
do you want the truth or do you want your sanity ?
You were hell
and everything else was just a mess
I found I'd stepped into the deepest unhappiness
we get back
I bleed into you
thank God that I don't love you
all of that's behind me now
still seems to be above you

I don't know
I don't know whether I ever knew you
but I know you
I know you never knew me
I don't know
I don't know whether I ever knew you
but I know you
I know you never knew me
Do you want to!

Hope doesn't serve me now
I don't move fast at all these days
you think you've understood
you're ignorant that way
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry
I'm sorry I can't be cancelled out like this
we had to kill too much
before we could even kiss

I don't know ...

A bittersweet aftertaste of a sudden consciousness

Journal Entry: Tue Jul 7, 2009, 10:16 AM
Cinicism is always creeping and I can feel its cold slimey touch up my spine everytime I feel some hope burning under the ashes but I'll have to deal with it and live with it.
I think after this last full moon weekend, I had gone through YET another stage of my process of separation from my past, people, memories, hopes and things I couldn't let go for some reason or another.
With this I do not mean cutting contacts but just accepting their presence and adopt indifference as a mean of defence. I had managed to do it for some but I still had some others which I was finding difficult (virtually impossible) to do but now I think the "ignore list" got slightly longer now.
Concentrate on who cares and IGNORE those who don't.

I have to work on it, it's not easy to accept the surprise of realising that those who, you once thought being special and above anybody else in the world, show themselves as they really are: as low as the majority of the human race.

An emotionally challenging night, that was, very much so !! but on the other hand it was a highily satisfying one indeed.
First of all professionally speaking and not only. I had realised that I wasn't too nervous anymore before the set, dj'd from about 11.30pm to around 4am filling in the gaps between a band and the other, got some people to dance and got some praises too, free drinks and spliffs by random people. Appreciation from those who were there and I also started to devolop some hardskin towards certain individuals, which is very good.

I have managed to play mainly an anarcho punk set, featuring some friends (ANXTV-1984), a genre that I have always listened to but never been able to play on a club and that was a very high point in the whole night as I finally widened my experience within a new genre.
I had the chance to put a little bit of myself and my own taste in one of the perfomrances having to choose a track for it (Bone Orchard - Scarlet Ropes).
Met some very interesting lovely new people and on top of everything there is still some more plans in the pipeline ;) Londoners: keep the 15th of august free!

anyway, here is the setlist:

gaznevada - frogs on the phone
the normals - TVOD

NEXT DJ SET!

Journal Entry: Thu Jul 2, 2009, 3:14 AM
haven't written anything here in a long while, but here's something that might be of interest for those living in london (or close to it)

04/07/2009
Poison Creeper DJ set at BEHIND BARS XV
"Tranny-Punk-Ho-Down meets Punx Picnic Afterhours" @ RampART Social Centre
3-4 Rampart Street E1 London, London,

Benefit Supporting Kaos GL and Pembe Hayat. Kaos GL was first established in 1994. Most of it’s members were and still are queer political activists with backgrounds in the Turkish anarchist, feminist and anti-military movements. Kaos GL as a collective started publishing a zine by the same name, which became Turkey’s first LGBT magazine. Over the years they graduated from a photocopied zine to a more glossy professional looking periodical, partly thanks to their first ever computer which was purchased with money raised in London by the old Queeruption / La-Di-Dah network. Pembe Hayat, which means "Pink Life’ in English, was formed later, in response to attacks on the transgender sexworker community in the Ankara suburb of Eryaman in 2006. At that time there were a series of well organised attacks, involving gangs of up to fifty people on transwomen sexworkers both in the streets and on the house where they lived. It was suspected that these gangs were connected with the developers who were trying to make the area more ’respectable’.
